On February 2, 1980, the weekly concert series "Organ Music at Market Time" was founded by Hans Uwe Hielscher. This series has been taking place all year round in the Marktkirche Wiesbaden for over 40 years. Around 16,000-18,000 listeners per year attend this half-hour-long organ concerts every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. At the beginning of December 2019, the 2000th organ music of this popular series took place in front of almost 700 listeners.
